Back to School

It could not have been a better way to start 2021 than having the sounds of our children fill up the halls and classrooms of our school. Those very voices were like the fireworks which officially kick started the year for us, rejuvenating the spirits of everybody here in the school. Day 1 saw the children being not only ready, but also participated actively in the classroom activities prepared by their teachers. It was truly heart-warming to see how the bond between teachers and students remained strong.

As fate would have it, the first day of our students returning to school turned out to be the very same day where our Prime Minister announced that Johor is part of 6 states designated for MCO 2.0 from 13th – 26th Jan. All classes for Primary and Secondary, except our Early Years (SIS) and Preschool/Kindergartens (SP & SNS) had to be practically shifted back online immediately.

Teachers were staying up and burning the midnight oil to convert materials meant for physical classes back to online materials. Due to the difference in nature of teaching physically versus online classes, it meant that some of those materials had to be scrapped in place of those methods dedicated for virtual classes. Fortunately, we were able to provide the materials to parents on the morning of 13th January where virtual classes followed the next day.
